My Picture

This picture is from the rafting trip. Here is my group, The fantastic 4. We were the smallest group, but not the weakest. We all met the first day, we were unsure of each other. I was disappointed at first because I wasn't in a group with my friends, not knowing that they would all be my friends in the end. In picture is shows, Brandon, Annie Mary, Mr. Parrish, and me. Austin was also in our group, just not pictured.
As we went down the river we all ended up getting nick names. Brandon turned into Pepsi, Annie Mary was PAM, Austin was White boy, and I was LBG. That was who we became, our nickames, No one called Brandon or Annie their names anymore they were Pepsi and PAM. Same with Austin and I, we were White boy and LBG. My group was pretty awesome.
One story that really stands out on our raft was the spider incident. I was rowing on our first day on the Aniak river when I saw a spider, I hate spiders. It crawled under the cooler, by that time everyone was laughing at me because I was telling Mr. Kuball to kill it! It was gone after a few minutes. After about 15 more minutes Austin said look a spider, he picked up the HUGE spider and threw it at me. I screamed so loud and almost jumped out of the raft. The whole raft thought that was funny but I was kind of irritated. Mr. Kuball gave me permission to whack Austin with a paddle, I did and accidentally left a bruise :D. Now that I look back at it it was pretty funny.
We had a great time on the raft trip this year. I learned a lot about new people, myself, and how to be a great leader. Even though I was sceptical about my group I learned that you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, you should get to know someone before you make assumptions you could learn a lot from someone.
